Heidi Romano is an artist and festival director with a diverse skill set and over fifteen years of experience within the field of photography. Romano often acts as guest curator or judge at international festivals such as Rencontres d’Arles, Prix Pictet, Photo Ireland and Ballarat Foto Biennale. She regularly curates and acts as an advisory for esteemed photographic publications like Feature Shoot, Lenscratch, Urbanautica, Critical Mass and Landscape Stories, among others. Heidi has a critical eye for the issues that count. She is a passionate book designer and loves working with artists through all levels of project development. She is also the founder and curator of Unless You Will, an acclaimed online photography journal dedicated to showcasing the finest of international visual storytelling. As of February 2016 she directs the Photobook Melbourne gallery and is in the process of curating a new festival.
