‘Melancholy‘ is a story about a disease, about time and emotions. Igor Oleś shows in this cycle a few elements which are really important for him. Hand made objects are metaphor of emotions and feelings, which he had to grapple with in his hard time. The background of the objects is strongly connected w the author. Sometimes it underline the topic, but sometimes it’s just a digression – new plot, which also took place in this time of disease and which was really extraordinary for him (relationship with the family or hard decision which he had to tackle). It is also a reflection of his fascinations, or deeply hide imaginations. Different stylistics of this images shows sinusoidal nature of every state of our mind.
