PROMISED LODZ. Postindustrial city culture.

Promised Lodz. Postindustrial city culture. The project‘s aim is to define the city by two of its most important elements – the people and the unique architecture + young artists together with the architectural postindustrial heritage of Lodz.

Each picture balances out the location and the person photographed, they are equally important to enable the dialogue between them both. Photographs present also the items that have been found in the factories, or that are linked to the young artists. Some pictures focus on buildings alone and attempt to analyse their past or look into their future. Promised Lodz series shows the old factory buildings in a special time between their industrial past and the refurbished future.
