Trestioreanu Roxana
Visual artist and curator. Works and lives in Bucharest.

BA degree in painting at the „N. Grigorescu” Fine Arts Institute, Bucharest in 1981, and PhD in Visual Arts of the National University of Arts Bucharest, in 2006. Associate Professor, Trestioreanu is the director of the Photography and Dynamic Image Department, National University of Arts Bucharest since int’s foundation 1995. She have been member of jury teams of: ICCA – the International Centre for Contemporary Art, Romanian Ministry of Culture, META Cultural Foundation, The Fulbright Grant, etc. Trestioreanu is affiliated with the Romanian Union of Professional Artists – since 1990 and the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), Romanian Section , since 2005.

Since 1981 she works and exhibits her projects in painting, drawing, artist book, installation, object, experimental film, photography, social practice and relational art. Her conceptual discourse revolves around identity, feminism, human rights.
